Sound Toll Registers, 1734 [3]

Shown are folios 9v-10r of the Sound Toll Register of 1734, which list Dutch ships passing Helsingør (Denmark) on April 8. Entry no. 72 states, for instance, that Willem Blocker of Hoorn came from St. Ubes bound for the Baltic Sea with 126 lasts of salt. The captain had to pay a toll of 62 rix-dollars, but this amount was (as usual) reduced by 2 rix-dollars and 18 shillings. He also paid 4 rix-dollars as lighthouse dues. The total amount paid was 64½ rix-dollars and 6 shillings.
